Care Guide

Before & After Care

A little prep and aftercare go a long way — protect sensitive skin, prevent ingrowns, and keep your results smooth and long-lasting.

Before You Come In

How to come to your appointment

A clean start and the right hair length make your service faster, gentler, and more thorough.

  • Arrive freshly showered, with clean, dry skin — no lotion or oil on the area.
  • Let hair grow at least three weeks, about the length of a grain of rice. That's the sweet spot for the wax to grip and remove cleanly.

First 48 Hours

Your 48-hour aftercare

Your skin is sensitive right after a wax. For the first 48 hours, be gentle and avoid:

  • Submerging in water — no hot tubs, pools, or bathtubs.
  • Excessive sweating — this includes workouts and intimacy.
  • Exfoliating the waxed area.
  • Fragranced products — skip perfumes and scented lotions on freshly waxed skin.
  • Do wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction and irritation.
  • Do stick to fragrance-free products.

Daily & Weekly

Daily & weekly self-care

Keeping skin soft and ingrown-free between visits:

  • Exfoliate 3× a week with the Waxed by Naya exfoliant.
  • Hydrate daily — a fragrance-free lotion, then a light oil on top to seal in moisture.
Prone to ingrowns? Naya recommends the Bush Bomb ingrown serum to keep the skin clear and smooth.

Reactions

If you have a reaction

A little redness or bumpiness right after your wax is normal and usually settles within a day. If you notice any reaction that concerns you, don't wait — reach out to your service provider right away.
